Examinations

 The Sapphire Stage Academy follow BTDA syllabus for exams for Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz. Examinations and Medal Tests are usually every 18months in between shows, These are brilliant for students to work hard towards their exam and move up into the next grade. This gives students a brilliant sense of achievement and is great for improving technique. Exams are a set of exercises performed in front of an examiner who will mark and asses each student enabling them to have some brilliant feedback and a certificate and will allow them to move up to the next grade.

Medal tests may also be done on occasions -a medal test gives the pupil the opportunity to show off their talent and the routine they have worked on in front of the examiner and their parents, family and friends.  These are performed in costume.  A certificate and medal is gained and presented to them after there groups dances.

The examination and medal tests are not compulsory but we are keen for pupils to put into practice all they have worked so hard on and to be rewarded for by way of examination.  This keeps the students motivated and keen to learn new things.
